Last year, OIST the oldest among the Institutes, reached its objective with the NBA accreditation for all its programs.

The Campus -

The Institute stands majestically on State highway linking BHEL township & Raisen.

It is well connected by local transport, the Institute is 11 kms from Bhopal main & 7 kms from Habibganj Railway Station.

The Campus extended over an area of 17 acres, depicts a rare blend of modern and ancient architecture creating an ideal environment for academic excellence.

The administrative block stands in the forefront (Corporate Office) and a magnificent workshop at its rear, the side wings boast of well equipped laboratories and spacious lecture halls. A huge auditorium and a library at the centre, give an aesthetic lustre to its scrupulously designed layout.

It has all the programs accredited by National Board of Accreditation AICTE, New Delhi.

Oriental Institute of Science and Technology became functional in a limited territorial expanse in 1995,with bare minimum facilities.During the last 14 years,the Institute has undergone a phenomenal evolution.It has transformed to a massive monument with Hi-Tech facilities,extended over an area of 17.6 acres.

The Institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Technical University (RGTU), Bhopal. The jurisdiction of the University lies throughout Madhya Pradesh so far as Engineering and Technical education is concerned. It aims at creating synergy by networking people and resources. Further, it has accorded the highest priority to curriculum innovation and examination reforms in its quest to meet the requirements of the industrial and service sectors.

Admission Procedure

Counseling for admission into technical colleges of M.P. is carried out by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Bhopal (M.P. Government Body). A press note, with all the details of counseling programme and ranking for purpose of admission is issued by DTE, Bhopal in all leading newspapers of the State. Admission to the Institute is carried out as per the rules laid down by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

Professional Examination Board prepares ranking list based on the PET, AIEEE, PRE-MCA, ALL INDIA MCA conducted by it except for NRI/NRI sponsored candidates.

Admission rules are subject to change by the Authorities.

The fees for B.E./MCA Programmes run by the Institute will be charged as per the amount approved and notified by the Government of Madhya Pradesh
